Module 2: Logging on to Blackboard

Let's Get Started!

Welcome to Module 2: Logging on to Blackboard. If you are here, you have probably enrolled in an online course. Congratulations, New Online Learner!

Who is this Module for?

You may have previous experience using the Learning Management System Blackboard/WebCT from face-to-face courses you have taken at George Brown or you may have no experience at all using Blackboard. If you have previous experience and feel that you know all about the ins and outs of logging onto Blackboard, feel free to skip ahead to a later Module. On the other hand, if you have no experience using Blackboard or if your past experiences using the system have been glitchy (maybe mail didn't work, or strange messages always popped up) or if you just never knew where to find technical help, this module is for you.

In this module, we'll show you how to find the link to Blackboard, Blackboard Tutorials, System-wide Announcements and Help. We'll also show you how to prepare a computer for use in Blackboard.

Have a quick look at the objectives below, and then click Next on the bottom right of the page to begin.
