Learn More About the Mail Tool

For mail to work correctly in the Blackboard system, you must ensure that your browser (and browser tool bar) is set to allow Pop-ups. 

Notice these key points about Blackboard/WebCT Mail:

• Blackboard Mail is a "closed" email system that allows users within the course to communicate with each other but does not allow emails to enter from outside of Blackboard or go to external email.
• To send mail in the system, you cannot type in a name; you must select recipients using "Browse for Recipients."
